Chinese archaeologists unearth olden kiln site

The provincial archaeological research institution announced on Monday that it has found a significant olden kiln in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Among ancient city remains near the capital of the independent region, Hohhot, the formal kiln that dated back to China's Han Dynasty (206 BC-220 A.D.) was discovered.


A grave and eight block kilns with pillar holes for each were among the discovered items.


The researchers of the institute revealed that studying the cultural, economic, and geographic significance of the architectural sites in the region as well as the structural design of the kilns during the Han Dynasty era will be supplied with rich materials offered by the unearthing.
