World Cup gold for Kuwaiti shooter Khaled Al-Mudhaf

Kuwaiti shooter Khaled Al-Mudhaf and Australia's Catherine Skinner clinched
mixed trap gold medals at the World Cup in the United Arab Emirates.

The
duo edged Luxembourg's Lyndon Sosa and Australian Laetisha Scanlan by three
shots with Croat Josip Glasnovic and American Aeriel Alease Skinner trailing in
third at the emirate of Al-Ain.

Commenting on his triumph,
Al-Mudhaf said he was glad to have won the medal for Kuwait, being his
country's only representative at the tournament.

The newly-introduced event pits
top seeded shooters of both genders, who are drawn together randomly in pairs.

The victory sees the Kuwaiti jump
two spots to third on the trap men's world rankings.
