Rise in Qatari CPI inflation for Aug


(MENAFN) Qatar's CPI-based monthly inflation registered a 1.16 percent boost during the eighth month of this year, while the Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded a 0.04 percent decline.

Recreation and Culture group marked a 4.17 percent surge, with Transportation jumping 2.98 percent, Food and Beverages climbing 1.58 percent, while Miscellaneous Goods and Services posted a 1.11 percent increase, Education was up 0.93 percent, and Furniture and Household Equipment witnessed a 0.05 percent raise.

Meanwhile, Clothing and Footwear posted a 1.6 percent drop, and the Housing, Water, Electricity and Gas fell 1.58 percent.

Statistics further revealed a flat performance in Restaurants and Hotels, Tobacco, Health, Communication, and Education groups.
