Turkey launches airstrikes in N. Iraq, neutralizes 5 PKK terrorists


(MENAFN) On Monday, the Turkish National Defense Ministry stated that Turkish warplanes managed to neutralize at least five PKK terrorists in northern Iraq as a result of an air raid.

The ministry affirmed inn a statement that the air attacks was conducted in collaboration with the Turkey's National Intelligence Organization in the Hakurk region.

Turkish government frequently uses the word "neutralized" in statements to indicate that the terrorists in question either surrendered or were murdered or arrested.

On May 27, Turkey launched the Operation Claw against the PKK in Hakurk. To date the continuing attacking has neutralized scores of terrorists.
