Nepal records further 2 climber deaths in 2019


(MENAFN) Nepal's Department of Tourism and expedition organizing companies declared that four more climbers have been killed on Thursday and Friday in Nepal's Himalayan mountains, raising the total fatality number of this spring season to 14, while three more remained uncounted for.

Meera Acharya, director at Tourism Department confirmed: "A renowned Nepali national mountain guide Dhruba Bista died at base camp of Mt. Qomolangma on Friday while Nima Tenji Sherpa, another climber from Nepal died in Mt. Makalu on the same day."

Subhas Shrestha, an official at Himalaya Vision Private Limited revealed that an Austrian climber Ing Landgraf (Ernst) has been killed in Mt. Qomolangma while he was coming back from the peak of the mountain.

Nihal Bagwan from India also passed away in Mt. Qomolangma, according to Nepali officials.
