(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ADEN, April 10 (KUNA) -- Spokesman of the Yemeni Army Brig. Abdo Majli accused the rebel Houthi group of manufacturing and storing munitions in residential areas thus putting in peril the civilian lives.
"The Houthi militias are fully responsible for the 13 deaths and more than 100 wounded, mainly students, at a school in Sanaa on Sunday," he said at a press conference in the central Ma'rib city, to the east of Sanaa.
He attributed the tragedy of Sunday to a blast at a weapon warehouse and a workshop for manufacturing explosive charges in Sa'ran district, east Sanaa.
Brig. Majli noted that such practices, which run counter to the provisions of the international law, amount to crimes against humanity. Reaffirming the Army's commitment to the agreement on ceasefire in the port city of Hodeida, he accused the Houthis of 2,517 violations of the truce deal reached on last December 18. (end) sns.gb
