Enjoy Your Love for Burgers and Arts at Artsy Shacks in Dubai

Dubai April 10, 2019 Shake Shack® is bringing together the best of food and art in Dubai by transforming five Shacks into creative zones where diners can enjoy burgers and vibrant art created by local artists based in the UAE.

Shake Shack® worked with curator, artist and visual art director of ArtPaintingLAB, Samira Saliba to identify talented artists who would like to showcase their work to diners. The collaboration with local artists aims to support the art community by encouraging them to display their pop culture-inspired art pieces and engage with the community in a fun and informal setting. Each of these artists bring their unique style and personality to the five Shacks.

Diners can now enjoy their favorite burger surrounded by contemporary art across Shacks located in The Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, JBR, Souk Al Bahar and Dubai International Airport. These Shacks come to life in vivid creations by artists Dina Sami, Khalid Mezaina, Maria Iqbal, Max Laurence, Melvin San Miguel and Reem Al Mazrouei.

Shake Shack is thrilled to unveil these fantastic life -style, funky art pieces that brings people together to share their love of burgers and art.

Emirati artists Reem Al Mazrouei and Khalid Mezaina have captured the experience of enjoying good food, with subtle hidden Shake Shack® references in backgrounds, cups and accessories at the Shake Shack in Souk Al Bahar.

Meanwhile, English artist Max Laurence has transformed the Shack at Mall of the Emirates into an action-packed playground that will appeal to millennials.

Max Laurence has also teamed up with Palestinian artist Dina Sami's to add a burst of color to The Dubai Mall Shack. The artwork is a recreation of Downtown Dubai with a fun and surreal comic featuring a giant crab burger, a sporty flamingo and lots of selfies.

Afghani artist Maria Iqbal captures the neighborhood beach scene and vibe at the JBR Shack, while showcasing the holiday lifestyle that is part of living near the beach.

Filipino artist Melvin San Miguel has doodled a fun aviation-themed comic at the Dubai International Airport Shack, transforming it into foodie's heaven with surreal, surprising and entertaining illustrations.

This collaboration with local artists stems from Shake Shack's® mission to ‘Stand for Something Good'. Shake Shack® believes that giving back is essential to connecting to every community that it has a presence in. It also runs a company-wide community program called ‘Shack Gives Back' that recognizes employees for volunteering and supports local artists.
