Jordan, Tunisia discuss trade, investment cooperation

Amman, Mar. 18 (Petra) -- Members of the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA), Mohammad Belbeisi and Hussam Ed-Din Hudhud, and President of the Tunisian Investment Authority, Baligh Bin Sultan, and an accompanying delegation discussed enhancing cooperation between Jordan and Tunisia on trade, investment, and economic spheres.

Bin Sultan invited the JBA to attend the Tunisia Investment Forum, scheduled for June. It was also agreed to increase meetings and exchange trade visits between the two countries.

Belbeisi and Hudhud commended the role of the Joint Jordanian-Tunisian Committee, which was established in 2016, to increase investments between the business communities in the two countries and boost trade exchange.

He highlighted the importance of benefiting from the Tunisian expertise in traditional industries and looked forward at enhancing investments in promising sectors.

Bin Sultan said that Tunisia enjoys many investment advantages and has expertise in the field of food industry, information technology, textile industry, and renewable energy.
