Another lawmaker quits UK Labor

(MENAFN) An eighth member of Britain's main opposition Labour Party has quit from the party in objection of the leadership style of leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Joan Ryan tweeted: "after 4 decades, I have made the terribly difficult decision to resign from the Labour Party. It is the greatest honour of my life to represent the people of #EnfieldNorth."

"I will continue to represent and speak up for them as a member of the [Independent Group] of MPs," he added.

The decision came days after British police said they had launched an investigation into allegations of anti-Semitic hate crimes by Labor Party members.
