Syria: blast kills 11 in Idlib

(MENAFN) On Friday, at least 11 people, most of them are militants, were murdered by a blast that hit an area in Syria's northwestern province of Idlib, as part of the rampant chaos in that rebel-held area, a war monitor reported.

The blast hit a rebel location close to the Mutlaq roundabout in the southern part of Idlib city, stated the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The Britain-based watchdog group affirmed it wasn't immediately clear whether the blast was caused by a booby-trapped vehicle or weapons' depot in the area.

Seven of the killed people were known as rebels while the four others are not recognized whether they are civilians or militants, according to the observatory.
