Oman- Sayyid Khalid presides over conclusion of tech ideas event


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- H E Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of Diwan of Royal Court presided over the conclusion of the 'Technology Ideas Race for Oman Youths' event at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, on Saturday. The event is the biggest gathering for Al Nashia Technological Project Ideas.

It is dedicated to the knowledge and skills presented at the National Youth Program for Skills Development. The event seeks to take 100 ideas to a stage that will enable Omani youths to take them to the markets to serve the Omani society and support the national economy.

The event crowns an important stage of the youth path in the programme. From among more than 700 participants, 600 Omani youths graduated in the first stage on Thursday. The graduates have presented good ideas that are worthy to be emerging projects in future that can take part in the Technology Ideas Race for Oman Youths.

The graduates will compete to qualify for the second stage of the programme during which they will receive intensive training followed by presentation of their ideas before a specialised committee and supported by Google.

The first stage of the youth path was implemented in cooperation with Udacity, one of the leading foundations in the field of virtual learning. The efforts of 700 participants were crowned with success and they managed to get Nano grade, an international professional certificate that focuses on data science, software and digital marketing.

These streams are key in contributing to the fourth Industrial Revolution.
