(MENAFN) Local media revealed that a human smuggler has been gunned down in Sowayri, Bekaa by the Lebanese General Security.
The smuggler opened fire after the General Security raided his house, leaving one security member wounded.
"General security have in return fired at the trafficker in self-defense which killed him," according to Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.
The Lebanese security forces have been carrying out many human smuggling cases lately.
