Qatar- Bedaya hosts forum for entrepreneurs and startups

DOHA: Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative by Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, in collaboration with LexisNexis and a group of legal advisors, hosted a forum for entrepreneurs and startups to introduce them to options, choices and legal aspects before and after starting their projects.

During the first session which was moderated by Essa Al Sulaiti, Founder and Managing Partner, Essa Al Sulaiti Law Firm; Dr Muna Al-Marzouqi, Practicing Lawyer, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies and Assistant Professor at Qatar University; and Mohamed Ameen, Senior Associate, Head of Contracts Department at Mubarak Al Sulaiti Law firm, highlighted the Qatari legal landscape related to the establishment of projects In terms of choices, aspects and the most important issues that the entrepreneur must be aware of before starting any project.

The second session hosted Frederic Ichay, Corporate and M & A Partner at Pinsent Masons London, discussed in detail the journey into entrepreneurship from legal to business and the pitfalls that they must avoid.

On this occasion, Reem Al Suwaidi, General Manager, Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Professional Development, said, 'The legal forum in collaboration with LexisNexis has enabled our guests and audiences to get acquainted to all legal aspects they should be aware of before starting any project. The forum has addressed the challenges faced by entrepreneurs when starting their businesses and helped them get a clear picture on the legal requirements for the success of their business, which in turn will save them time and effort.
