Former Israeli PM picked as medical firm chair


(MENAFN) Israel's former Prime Minister Ehud Barak was unveiled to be picked as the chairman of InterCure, an Israeli medical firm.

The medical cannabis specialized company was confirmed to be offering the former Israeli prime minister with an option of acquiring 5 percent of its shares at an average cost of USD0.89 per share.

The former prime minister commented "medical cannabis has proven its potential to help improve the lives of many patients around the world."

Barak further stressed that "major countries have adopted it as a recognized medical treatment."

He added that he will assume leadership of the firm's international growth policy and is to play a major role in business development "with the goal of making it a global leader in its field."
