Papua New Guinea: countless in need of supplied after earthquake
(MENAFN) A destructive earthquake was confirmed to have left Papua New Guinea with countless people in desperate need of aid.
The earthquake has resulted in its most affected areas to become extremely difficult to get to after roads were destroyed.
Udaya Regmi from the International Red Cross reportedly explained "the challenge is road access; it's still not accessible to trucks and four-wheel drives."
Regmi continued "big trucks cannot go there. It's one of the reasons the food is becoming less and less. There are no fears of starvation yet but we've not got the full picture."
