Iranian Pres. arrives in Tajikistan on first visit


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Iranian President Hassan Rouhani arrived in Dushanbe Tuesday on his first visit to Tajikistan.

The Iranian leader will hold meetings tomorrow with Tajikistan counterpart Emomalii Rahmon, according to Tajikistan news agency (Asia Plus).

On Thursday he will attend the summit meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) - a regional grouping that includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. Iran, Mongolia, India and Pakistan are observer countries in the grouping.
