Volume Of Freight Transportation Goes Up In Kyrgyzstan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 2. The volume of cargo transported by all types of transport from January through September of the current year in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 38.124 million tons.

The data obtained by Trend from the country's National Statistics Committee shows that this indicator increased by 2.3 million tons, or 7.4 percent, compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, cargo transportation increased by 1.3 percent in September compared to the same month last year, and its volume increased by 18 percent compared to the previous month.

Of the total volume of cargo transportation:

- by road - 31.489 million tons;

- by rail - 6.344 million tons;

- by pipelines - 269,300 tons;

- by an air transport - 20,900 tons were handled.

To note, the volume of cargo turnover by all types of transport in Kyrgyzstan for the reporting period amounted to 2.174 billion ton-kilometers, which is 6.2 percent more compared from January through September of the last year.
