IMF Improves Forecast For Kyrgyzstan's GDP


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, October 28. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) anticipates that Kyrgyzstan's real GDP growth will reach 6.5 percent in 2024, Trend reports.

This anticipated figure increased by 2.1 percentage points from the 4.4 percent projected in the IMF's April economic forecast.

Additionally, GDP is predicted to drop to 5 percent in 2025, which is an increase of 0.8 percentage points from 4.2 percent in April's outlook.

In its recent forecast, the World bank (WB) has also revised upward its projection for Kyrgyzstan's real GDP growth in 2024 to 5.8 percent, an increase of 1.3 percentage points from its June estimates.

The outlook for 2025 has also been raised, with GDP growth now expected to reach 4.5 percent, up by 0.3 percentage points from earlier projections.

Kyrgyzstan's GDP growth was 6.2 percent in 2023 and 9 percent in 2022.
