Taliban Blocks Vistara Flight From Entering Afghanistan's Airspace Over Security Threat

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Indian media has reported that the Taliban denied passage through Afghanistan's airspace to a Vistara airlines flight due to a potential bomb threat.
Sources told PTI on Sunday, October 20, that the aircraft, carrying 240 passengers, was flying from New Delhi to Frankfurt, Germany.
According to reports, the plane briefly entered Afghan airspace after circling in Pakistan's airspace before eventually returning to India.
The flight, UK25, was being operated by a Boeing 787 aircraft.
Earlier, Vistara Airlines had announced that it had received security threats for six flights, including flight UK25.
In a statement on social media, Vistara confirmed,“Flight UK25 from Delhi to Frankfurt is returning to Delhi.”
It is noteworthy that nearly 100 flights had received bomb threats in recent days, but these threats were later determined to be hoaxes.
The increased frequency of such threats has raised concerns about passenger safety, adding strain to already heightened security measures. Authorities are working diligently to ensure these incidents do not disrupt international flights or compromise security.
