IEA Revises Outlook For Kazakhstan's Oil Production In 2025


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 19 Kazakhstan's oil production is expected to reach 2.02 mb/d in 2025, Trend reports.

The International energy Agency (IEA) has adjusted its forecast for Kazakhstan's oil production, lowering it by 0.01 mb/d. According to the latest data, Kazakhstan is expected to produce approximately 1.96 mb/d in the first quarter of 2025, increasing to 2 mb/d in the second quarter and reaching 2.03 mb/d in the third quarter.

For 2024, Kazakhstan's average oil production is projected to be 1.88 mb/d, with an estimated output of 1.86 mb/d in the third quarter, followed by a decrease to 1.82 mb/d in the fourth quarter.

Additionally, the IEA reported that Kazakhstan's average oil production for 2023 was 1.93 mb/d, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 0.11 mb/d.

In 2023, the country's total production reached 90 million tons, marking a 6.9 percent increase from 2022. Kazakhstan aims to produce 97.2 million tons by 2025, with plans to raise production to 104.8 million tons by 2029.
