Zelensky's Plan For Ending The War In Ukraine: Key Details

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, who previously shared his plan for a“peace settlement” with American officials, has presented a summary of it for the first time to the Ukrainian Parliament.

In his parliamentary speech in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital, Mr. Zelensky claimed that his plan, which he calls the“Victory Plan,” aims to end the war in Ukraine.

He hopes that strengthening Ukraine's position in the conflict with Russia will create a deterrent that will resolve the war by 2025.

To establish this deterrent, he included several key proposals in his peace plan, including Ukraine's accession to NATO and the use of long-range missiles to target deep into Russian territory.

Avoiding compromises over Ukrainian territory and the advance of Ukrainian forces into Russian territory, which began two months ago, have also been outlined as prerequisites for establishing a deterrent to strengthen Ukraine's position in the war.

However, thus far, Western countries and the United States have not agreed to Zelensky's plan.

In response to this plan, Russia has stated that Kyiv needs to“wake up.”

Zelensky's proposal highlights Ukraine's ongoing struggle to secure its sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of Russian aggression.

Meanwhile, a collaborative approach that prioritizes dialogue and mutual understanding may be key to finding a lasting solution to the crisis.
