Azerbaijani, Serbian Mfas Hold Another Round Of Political Consultations

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 16. Another round of
political consultations took place on October 15 in Serbia's
Belgrade between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic
of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Serbia, Azerbaijan's MFA told
Trend .
Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev headed the Azerbaijani
delegation, while the Serbian delegation was headed by the State
Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Damjan Jović.
In their discussions, officials from Azerbaijan and Serbia
emphasized the importance of strengthening their strategic
partnership. They reviewed the current state of collaboration and
explored future opportunities across political, economic, energy,
and humanitarian sectors, including key strategic energy and
transport initiatives led by Azerbaijan.
Officials highlighted that the forthcoming 29th session of the
Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate
Change (COP29), set to take place in Azerbaijan this November,
offers fresh opportunities to bolster the strategic cooperation
between the two countries. They underscored the significance of
inter-parliamentary collaboration, pointing to the advantages of
reciprocal visits and the deepening of both bilateral and
multilateral relations.
Serbian officials were briefed on the post-conflict situation in
the region, including Azerbaijan's efforts to foster lasting peace,
address mine clearance in liberated areas, and advance ongoing
reconstruction projects.
The discussions also covered regional and international matters
of shared interest.
As part of the visit, Rzayev engaged with other Serbian
officials and took part in roundtable discussions with researchers
and experts, as outlined in the ministry's statement.
