Azerbaijani, Lithuanian Ports To Strengthen Business Relationships


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 15. The Baku International Sea Trade port (BISTP) and the Klaipeda Port have agreed to strengthen their business relations, Trend reports via a statement from BISTP (based in Alat).

"The Klaipeda Port's Director General Algis Latakas, accompanied by the Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Kestutis Vaitkevicius, visited the Baku Port. During this meeting, the parties discussed enhancing business relations between the two countries, as well as opportunities for knowledge and experience exchange between the ports," the statement said.

The parties also discussed the role of Baku Port in the development of the Silk Road and the non-oil sector, as well as strategies for sustainable development and carbon emission reduction.

"The guests were familiarized with the port's terminal operations and were informed about Azerbaijan's infrastructure projects," the statement added.
