Azerbaijan Outlines Key Responsibilities For Formulating Its Fiscal Policy

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 24. Among the main
tasks in determining the budget policy for the next year and the
mid-term period is the implementation of measures provided for by
the“Strategy of Socio-Economic Development for 2022-2026,” Prime
Minister Ali Asadov said, Trend reports.
He made the remark during a speech in the Cabinet of Ministers
at the discussion of the draft state budget and consolidated budget
for 2025 and indicators of the consolidated budget for the next
three years, the concept and forecast indicators of economic and
social development for 2025 and the next three years.
Moreover, among them, according to the Prime Minister, are the
restoration and reconstruction of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur,
their reintegration into the country's economy and ensuring the
“Great Return," strengthening the country's military-defense power
and security; implementation of the measures envisaged in the State
Program for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan
Autonomous Republic; and an additional social support package to
strengthen the social protection of the population and improve its
welfare.
''The main challenges are to support sustainable economic
growth, to ensure macroeconomic stability and budget stability,''
the prime minister noted.
