Russia Eyes To Launch Sea ​​Cruises To Azerbaijan's Baku (PHOTO)


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 12. Sea cruises are set to set sail from Russia to Baku, Trend reports via the State Maritime and Port Agency of Azerbaijan.

This matter was brought to the table during the agency's powwow with a delegation from Russia's cruise industry bigwig, tour operator Vodokanal LLC.

The meeting drove home the importance of high-level visits, meetings, and events between the two countries in building bridges, underscoring that bolstering cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia is a win-win for expanding trade and economic ties, as well as partnerships in maritime transport.

Vodokanal LLC's plans to build three next-generation cruise ships under the Karelia project 00840 were also discussed during the meeting. The ships are expected to be commissioned in 2025–2026, and the company plans to continue its involvement in cruises to ports in Makhachkala, Aktau, Turkmenbashi, Baku, and Anzali.

Additionally, during the meeting, which included representatives from the Baku International Sea Trade Port, issues related to simplifying ship entry and exit procedures at Azerbaijan's ports were also reviewed.
