CEC Sends Local Authorities Complaints After Electoral Review In Azerbaijan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan has forwarded several complaints to local electoral commissions for further review, a source in the CEC told Trend .

According to the source, the decision was announced during today's CEC meeting.

Some complaints received by the CEC have been directed to district election commissions.

However, a complaint concerning the Bilesuvar electoral district was returned to the applicant due to the expiration of the filing deadline.

Complaints related to the Binagadi-Garadagh electoral district, the Jabrayil-Gubadli electoral district, and the Surakhani electoral district have been sent to their respective district electoral commissions for examination.

To recall, the snap parliamentary election was held in Azerbaijan on September 1.

A total of 112,749 local observers were registered, including over 65,000 representatives of political parties. There were 598 international observers from 51 organizations and 69 countries.

Among the 990 registered candidates, 305 represented 25 political parties, while 371 were party members but were not nominated by their parties. In total, 676 candidates were affiliated with political parties.
