Azerbaijan Opening New Avenues To Harness Central Asia's Huge Potential - Uzbek President


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, August 9. Azerbaijan is opening up new avenues to harness the huge potential of the Central Asia region, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said, Trend reports.

He made the remark during the sixth Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State in Astana today.

"This primarily involves advancing joint cooperation projects in the fields of trade, industry, agriculture, energy, transportation, and logistics, as well as developing cultural, humanitarian, and tourism exchanges. There are already successful examples of multilateral cooperation. In particular, expert work is underway on organizing the supply of 'green' energy to Europe," the head of state said.

Additionally, he pointed out ongoing discussions regarding the formation of effective transport corridors leading to international markets.

"We stand for the active participation of our Azerbaijani partners in planned business forums, industrial exhibitions, and other business events. In my remarks during the first part of our meeting, I emphasized the importance of holding a joint event at the upcoming Climate Summit in Azerbaijan this November as part of coordinated efforts to address environmental challenges," Mirziyoyev added.

To note, high-level discussions within the sixth Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State are covering current issues of multilateral cooperation and prospects for regional interaction.
