(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Russian military command has deployed troops to run offensive operations in the Hlyboke area of Kharkiv region. Near the town of Vovchansk, the Russians are preparing amphibious assault groups for further offensive moves.
That's according to a report by the ISW think tank, Ukrinform saw.
It is noted that hostilities continue in Vovchansk and near Hlyboke.
Geolocated footage published on July 14 showed elements of the Chechen 204th "Akhmat" Spetsnaz Regiment striking Ukrainian forces in northwestern Vovchansk, indicating that Ukrainian forces regained some positions in the area. A Ukrainian source reported that Ukrainian forces repelled Russian forces from Sotnytskyi Kozachok (northwest of Kharkiv).

"ISW is unable to confirm this report at this time," analysts wrote.
"The Russian military command is reportedly regrouping troops in an effort to continue offensive operations in the Kharkiv direction," the report reads.
The Ukrainian operational-tactical grouping Kharkiv reported that the Russian military command had transferred units to carry out offensive operations in the Hlyboke area. In the Vovchansk area, Russian troops are preparing their amphibious assault groups for further offensive actions.

A Russian milblogger claimed that the Russian Northern Grouping of Forces (GoF), which is responsible for the offensive in the Kharkiv direction, only has 30,000 to 70,000 troops - which is insufficient for a full-fledged penetration of Ukrainian defenses to a depth of 40 kilometers.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to the General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces, the enemy continues offensive (assault) operations in the Kharkiv direction. Fighting continues in the areas of Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Hlyboke, Lyptsi, and Vovchansk.
