Jordan Condemns Israeli Strikes On Gaza Displacement Camps

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Jordan on Saturday condemned Israeli strike on displacement camp in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Saturday, the Foreign Ministry denounced ongoing Israel's "brutal" aggression against the Gaza Strip and the "systematic" targeting of civilians and displacement shelters, the latest of which was the attacks on tents housing displaced people in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, an area previously declared safe by Israel.

The ministry's spokesperson Sufian Qudah expressed Jordan's condemnation of Israel's continued violations of international law and criticised Israel's disregard for the international community's calls for an end to the war; its acts of genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza, as well as its obstruction of humanitarian aid to the war-torn Strip.

Qudah called for an immediate and effective international action to protect the Palestinian people, as well as hospitals and humanitarian organisations providing essential services in Gaza.

He also underlined the severe humanitarian crisis in the Strip since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7.
