Ambassador To Israel Meets With Activists Of Ukrainian Community In Haifa
(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ambassador of Ukraine Yevhen Korniychuk paid a working visit to Haifa to meet with the city Mayor Mr. Yona Yahav and activists of the local Ukrainian community.
The embassy said this in a post on its facebook page , according to Ukrinform.
“The sides discussed ways of cooperation at the interregional level, establishing a twin city ties between Ukraine and Haifa. The possibility of the municipality's support for the operations of a Ukrainian refugee's center was also discussed,” the post says.
The Ambassador also met with activists of the Ukrainian community to discuss the current needs of Ukrainian families who have found refuge in Israel.
Among other things, the meeting focused on the organization of graduation exams for Ukrainian schoolchildren currently living in Israel.
Korniychuk also invited the audience to join the activities of the Ukrainian Cultural Center in Tel Aviv.
It is also reported that representatives of the Embassy attended the annual conference of the Ahmadiyya Muslim community, which was dedicated to multiculturalism.
“Haifa is an example of interfaith and interethnic understanding at the community level,” the embassy added.
