Investigations Led To Another Site Where Explosives Were Hidden In Abu Alanda Linked To South Marka Case, PSD Unveils

Amman, June 24 (Petra) -- The Public Security Department (PSD) announced that the security apparatus' investigations into the South Marka case led to the discovery of another location where the same individuals hid explosives in the Abu Alanda area, eastern Amman.
A PSD statement said that the security apparatus cordoned off and isolated a shop in the area that was used to store explosives, and explosives teams from the Royal Engineering Corps and the security apparatus cleared the site and detonated the explosives stored inside the shop.
The PSD confirmed that the detonation operations were completed with the highest degree of professionalism, without any injuries or damages.
The PSD called on everyone to abide by the information issued by the official authorities, cooperate with the security personnel present at the scene, stay away from the site, and give the concerned personnel the opportunity to deal with the case without any influence, stressing that the case is still under investigation and all details will be published as soon as they are finalized.
