Azerbaijan Identifies Remains Of Another Set Of Victims Found In Mass Burials


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30. Nine more peoplewhose remains were found in mass graves in Azerbaijan have beenidentified, Deputy Head of the Working Group of the StateCommission on Prisoners of War, Hostages, and Missing Persons ofAzerbaijan Eldar Samedov said during the briefing, Trend reports.

He noted that the remains of the people were discovered in massgraves located in Aghdam, Shusha, and Khojavand.

"The remains will be returned to the families of the victims,and their burial will be organized according to the families'preferences," he added.

To recall, a mass grave was discovered in Khojaly district'sAsgaran village in early February. Prior to that, another massgrave was discovered last summer in Shusha and on the grounds ofShusha Prison. Additional mass burials have been discovered in avariety of locations, including Saryjali village in the liberatedfrom Armenian occupation Aghdam district, Dashalti village inShusha district, Edilli village in Khojavand district, Farrukhvillage in Khojaly district, Yukhary Seidahmedli village in Fuzulidistrict, Kalbajar, Aghdam, and other living settlements.
