Azerbaijan And Germany Maintain Friendly And Partnership Ties - Political Analyst


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. Over the pastperiod, Azerbaijan and Germany have fostered friendly andpartnership relations, expanding their economic and trade ties withpositive outcomes evident in trade turnover, political analyst AzerGarayev told Trend .

Highlighting President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Germany at GermanChancellor Olaf Scholz's invitation, as well as the meetings thatfollowed and his participation in the high-level segment of the15th Petersberg Climate Dialogue, was another historic event thatdemonstrated Azerbaijan's growing global influence and itsproactive approach to addressing climate change.

"Germany and Azerbaijan have friendly and cooperative relationsthat are characterized by a constant evolution of theirinteraction. This is especially noticeable in the growth ofeconomic and trade links, which produce favorable trade turnoveroutcomes and point to a steadily improving trajectory inAzerbaijani-German relations. The signing of almost 80 bilateraldocuments highlights the depth of Germany's connection withAzerbaijan and makes it stand out among European countries,"Garayev said.

Regarding Germany's readiness to serve as a forum fordiscussions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Garayev stated thatGermany is eager to do so because it recognizes Azerbaijan'sbeneficial role in the South Caucasus, as well as the country'scontributions to economic growth, peace, and security.

"German companies are particularly drawn to Azerbaijan's solidstability and favorable investment climate. The friendlycounterparts have taken note of Azerbaijan's steadfast and reliablestance, which has significantly contributed to the deepening ofeconomic cooperation between the two nations." Notably, productivenegotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan were held after theMunich conference, advancing the peace agenda. All thingsconsidered, Germany shows itself to be a trustworthy ally onWestern negotiating tables, expertly preserving an impartialstance," the political analyst said.
