Ashgabat To Host Meeting Of CIS Council Of Heads Of Government


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 26. The meeting of the Council of Heads of government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held on May 24 this year in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Trend reports.

According to the CIS Executive Committee, the next meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS States to the statutory and other bodies of the commonwealth will be held on February 27 at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk, the capital of Belarus.

During this meeting, the agenda of the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government, which will be held on May 24 in Ashgabat, will be considered.

Furthermore, at the meeting in Minsk, the permanent representatives will discuss the implementation of the roadmap for the implementation of initiatives expressed by the heads of delegations during meetings of the Council of Heads of State, the Council of Heads of Government, the Council of Foreign Ministers, and the CIS Economic Council in terms of security cooperation and summarize the results of foreign policy cooperation within the Commonwealth in 2023 in the context of international positioning in the CIS.

Note that, the last meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government was held in October last year in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
