Domestic Production, Import Of Drones Should Expand - President

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) President Volodymyr Zelensky insists that the Ukrainian production of drones and their supply from foreign partners should increase, adding that it is too early to say that enough is being done.

The leader said this in an evening video address to the nation, Ukrinform reports.

"Obviously, the Ukrainian production of drones - Leleka, Fury, etc. - as well as supplies from partners and all forms of imports - must grow, and this is one of the most important tasks. It is very important that all officials in the defense system perceive this task exactly as it is said on the frontline. Drones are consumables, and there should be as many of them as needed - as our warriors need - to save lives and ensure results in battles. There is much to be done in this area, and it is too early to say that we are doing enough," Zelensky emphasized.

The head of state said that during his visit to Donetsk region, he spoke directly with soldiers about Ukraine's offensive effort, supplies, current capabilities of their commanders and what those capabilities should be from soldiers' perspective.

As reported, on Monday, President Volodymyr Zelensky was on a working trip to Donetsk region, where he visited the headquarters of the army brigades that run offensive operations in the area of responsibility of the Soledar Operational-Tactical Group, made a stop at the advanced stabilization point that hosts wounded and injured Ukrainian servicemen from the Bakhmut axis, and presented state awards to a number of Ukraine's defenders.
