However, no positions were lost there," Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, told a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
As noted, the number of airstrikes in this direction increased.
"At the beginning [of active assault operations], the enemy launched airstrikes almost every day, but on the positions of our military, that is, to break through the defense lines, our fortifications. They had no success. And indeed, over the past week, the enemy concentrated their airstrikes – in Vovchansk direction as well – on the local population, private houses," Syniehubov said.
He noted that Lyman direction, particularly Borova community of Izium district, remained an important and difficult area. The front-line villages suffer constant strikes there.
