Doha, Qatar: Brazilian midfielder Thiago Mendes (pictured) has joined Al Rayyan's daily training as part of the preparations for the new football season 2023-2024.
The player trained with the team after he was officially contracted from France's Olympique Lyonnais (OL). The Frenchman has a contract that extends till 2025 and makes him Al Rayyan's first signing of the new season.
Mendes has had a great professional career before joining Al Rayyan as support in the midfield. The team is looking to provide its best performance to get results especially after Al Rayyan faced difficulties last season.
Al Rayyan are training at the club's stadium under the technical leadership of their Portuguese coach Leonardo Jardim, who has been contracted for two seasons and will lead the team starting from the new season.
Jardim along with the support staff are working hard to develop the full program from preparing players for the new season and for their overseas training camp in Austria to be held from July 17 to August 7.
