1956 -- Members of the General Assembly of Kuwait Sports Federation elects Jassem Al-Qatami, Muhalhal Al-Mudhaf, Essa Al-Hamad, Abdulaziz Al-Sarawi and Ahmad Muhanna as members of the higher committee supervising the federation.

1959 -- sheikh Fahad Al-Salem Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah passes away at age of 50. The deceased was in the first group of students sent to Al-Adhamiya college in Iraq in 1924. He chaired the construction council, departments of works, health and municipality. He also took over the post and telephone department on 1952-59.
1982 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah signs a law to increase wages of workers in civilian and military sectors, and retirees.
2001 -- Kuwait Ministry of Health (MoH) opens Shaikhan Al-Farsi Rheumatism center.
2003 -- Kuwait and the World Health Organization (WHO) sign a framework agreement to fight tobacco. Kuwait was the first Arab country to sign the international treaty.
2009 -- Kuwait Ministry of Health registers the first swine flu case of a 16-year-old Kuwaiti students who came from the US.
2011 -- Kuwait-French nuclear energy committee holds its first meeting in Paris.
2013 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah addresses the nation after the Constitutional Court's rejection of a case challenging the one-vote system and annulment of the December 2012 elections.
2013 -- Equate Petrochemical Company wins the social responsibility award of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
2013 -- Kuwait national football team player Mohammad Fahhad Al-Mutairi passes away at age of 32. Al-Mutairi also played for clubs of Qadsia, Al-Nasr and Sulaibikhat.
2014 -- The Municipal Council approves relocation of foreign embassies from residential areas to provide better security.
2015 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) signs a KD 6.5 million loan agreement with Ethiopia to fund a fresh water project.
2015 -- The National Assembly approves a bill to install surveillance cameras in vital facilities, as well as a draft law on cybercrimes.
2020 -- Habib Johar Hayat, a former MP and minister, passes away at age of 86. He became a parliament member in 1975, named Minister of Communications in 1990, Minister of Housing in 1991 and Minister of Public Works in 1994. He was member in a committee to revise the constitution, as well as a member in the supreme planning council. 2020 -- Minister of Finance Barak Al-Sheetan safely escapees a grilling motion filed by MP Ryad Al-Adsani.
2020 -- A grilling motion filed by MP Faisal Al-Kandari against Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Saud Al-Harbi ends, with a set of parliamentary recommendations presented.
2020 -- Kuwait National Petroleum Company completes an acid gas recycling factory project at Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery. (end) mt
