Corridor has contributed to the transformation of the EU's energy
capacities, UK Prime Minister's Trade Envoy Baroness Emma Nicholson
said at a briefing, trend reports.
According to her, the Southern Gas Corridor has transformed
energy capacities not only for the EU, but also for Europe.
"We are very fortunate that the UK and Azerbaijan are closely
cooperating in the energy sector. In this regard, of course, bp is
the main player. It is worth noting that bp has also done a lot of
work in the field of green energy," she said.
She also added that this cooperation is beneficial not only for
the UK, but also for a number of EU countries.
Also, Emma Nicholson touched upon cooperation between countries
in the development of "green" energy.
"We have also moved forward in the development of renewable
energy, as the "traditional" form of energy is no longer accepted
in the world. In this regard, we are working very closely with the
government of Azerbaijan to further develop the green energy
sector," she said.
