Doha, Qatar: Ambassador of the Republic of Turkiye to the State of Qatar, HE Dr Mustafa Goksu, underlined that the run-off of the Turkish presidential elections did not witness any negatives, adding that all parties will accept the result, which confirmed the victory of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for a new presidential term.
Speaking to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Goksu added that the elections were held with integrity and transparency in light of the strength of the competing parties, especially since Turkiye is accustomed to democracy and elections, adding that these elections will open the future for the Turkish people and bring with it more goodness for Turkiye and the entire region.
He stressed that all Turkish citizens are equal to President Erdogan and that he is the president of all Turkish people, regardless of their party affiliation.
The Turkish ambassador stated that Turkiye is now establishing a more institutional state, pointing out that the Turkish government will consider whether there are matters that need to be addressed in the future to serve the Turkish people more.
