Saudi Arabia's Tourism Development Fund Signs Agreement to Develop Five-Star Eco-Lodge
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia's Tourism Development Fund has signed an agreement with Golden Frond Hotel Services Co., a subsidiary of the Afyaa Group, to develop a five-star eco-lodge in Al-Ahsa Oasis. The deal was signed at the Future Hospitality Summit in Riyadh and is part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to develop its tourism industry in line with the Vision 2030 economic diversification strategy.
The Al-Ahsa region is home to one of the largest oases in the world and has rich archaeological features that show evidence of human settlement in the region since the Neolithic era. It was the first site in the region to be registered on the UNESCO World Heritage List, making it an ideal location for developing tourism facilities. The ENVI Al Nakheel eco-lodge will provide 25 lodging pods consisting of one and two-bedroom units.
In addition to lodging, the destination will feature farm-to-table dining, a spa, local arts and crafts, and a selection of unique activities. The project aims to provide unforgettable experiences for tourists while preserving the unique cultural and natural heritage of Al-Ahsa Oasis.
Qusai Al-Fakhri, CEO of the Tourism Development Fund, expressed his pleasure with the partnership with Golden Frond to develop ENVI Al Nakheel in Al-Ahsa Oasis. Abbas Al-Saleh, CEO of Golden Frond Hotel Services Co., also expressed his excitement to work with the Tourism Development Fund to create unforgettable experiences for tourists while preserving the unique cultural and natural heritage of Al-Ahsa Oasis.
