Centre to soon organise Start-up expo in Udhampur: Union Minister Jitendra Singh Udhampur, Apr 3 (KNN) The government will soon organise a start-up expo in Udhampur to raise awareness among the youth about new avenues and to boost the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the city, said Union Minister of Science and technology Jitendra Singh.
During a virtual interaction with members of the BJP from Udhampur and Ramban on Sunday, Singh pointed out that it is important that youth should be made aware about new avenues so that there is a change of mindset from government jobs.
Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of Start-Up India- Stand Up India, the union minister said that the PM's futuristic vision has helped India cross over 80,000 start-ups in 2022 from mealy 350 in 2014.
In the meeting, the Union Minister of Science and Technology suggested that the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) and Kisan Morcha members to come forward to extend the Aroma Mission and lavender cultivation.
As per reports, Singh along with Highways minister Nitin Gadkari will visit the Union Territory on April 11 to inspect the new national highway segment between Banihal and Ramban.
