Abu Samen, IAG Chairman Talk QAIA's Project Future Plans

Amman, Feb. 23 (Petra)- Minister of Public Works and Transport, Maher Abu Samen, on Thursday discussed with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the International Airport Group (IAG), Fernando Candela, future plans of Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) project and strategic plans aimed at increasing the number of passengers and raising the airport's competitiveness to attract more airlines.
During the meeting, which was IAG CEO, Nicholas Claude, Abu Samen discussed operational issues and plans to improve the airport's infrastructure to ensure the best services for passengers.
Abu Samen also referred to the government's interest in the airport project, which is one of the 'best' partnership enterprises implemented jointly by the public and private sectors, noting developments that took place at QAIA , especially in terms of the level of services and its position at the regional and international levels.
In addition, Abu Samen reviewed the key future projects scheduled to be implemented by the ministry and possibility of resolving all outstanding issues, in a bid to contribute to the project's stability and support investment in the Kingdom.
For his part, IAG chairman valued the 'participatory' relationship in QAIA project with Jordanian government, reflected in continuous support at all levels, which contributes to raising the airport's operational and service efficiency.
