Raisi implores government officials to carry out strategic deals with China

(MENAFN) The strategic agreements that were struck with China during the recent visit of President Ayatollah Seyed Ebrahim Raisi to Beijing have been encouraged to be put into effect by the relevant sectors.

The comments were made by Raisi during a cabinet meeting on Sunday afternoon.

Last week, Raisi traveled to China for three days. Ministers of international affairs, the economy, housing and transportation, and agriculture were with him.

Twenty memorandums of agreement and memoranda of cooperation in the fields of commerce and the economy were signed during the visit.

According to a readout published on the official website of the Iranian presidency, Raisi emphasized the need for all-encompassing efforts by the officials and those involved in related sectors to implement agreements as soon as possible and realize the goals of the two countries to strengthen cooperation.

The president thought it was important for managers and ministers to work together to stabilize the market and keep prices in check as we approached the end of the current year.

"Any decision that results in an unjustified increase in the cost of goods and services and an increase in inflation will not be accepted," he declared. "The headquarters, under the supervision of the first vice-president, is obliged to monitor and control the inflation and the currency market and the prices of basic goods on a daily basis."
