Astana holds Iran-Kazakhstan 18th Joint Economic Committee gathering


(MENAFN) The 18th gathering of Iran-Kazakhstan mutual Economic Committee gathering was hosted on Thursday in Kazakhstan's capital Astana, at the close of which the two parties inked a comprehensive document to grow partnership in several sectors such as exchange, agriculture, environment, tourism, science, as well as technology, education and sports.

As IRIB mentioned in a report that, the two nations’ Joint Economic Committee gathering was co-chaired by Iranian Agriculture Minister Javad Sadati-Nejad as well as Premier of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov.

Sadati-Nejad and Smailov hosted discussions before the two nations’ mutual gathering to talk about main sectors that need to be accepted upon in the event’s concluding document.

While giving a speech to the press following the joint committee gathering, Sadati Nejad stated that in line with the inked memorandum of understanding (MOU), 30 percent of the exchange among the two nations are going to be in the sector of agricultural outputs.
