Ukraine Army Aircraft Launch 16 Strikes On Enemy Positions


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The aircraft of the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched 14 strikes on Russian military personnel concentration areas and two strikes on the positions of the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems on January 25.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on facebook , Ukrinform reports.

'In the past day, the enemy launched 37 air strikes and 10 missile strikes, including on the civilian infrastructure of the cities of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. They carried out 97 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems, hitting residential buildings in Kherson. According to preliminary information, at night the enemy used 24 Iranian-made Shakhed-136 attack drones. All of them were destroyed by the Defense Forces of Ukraine,' the report reads.

There is a great threat of further Russian air and missile attacks on Ukraine, the General Staff added.

Suffering numerous losses, the enemy continues offensive operations in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka areas. Russian forces conducted unsuccessful offensives in the Lyman and Avdiivka sectors. In the Kupiansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson areas, they are defending.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled enemy attacks outside the settlements of Chervopopivka in the Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Blahodatne, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Marinka, Vuhledar and Pavlivka in the Donetsk region.

According to the General Staff, in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the enemy is making preparations for the next wave of mobilization. By January 29, 'state-owned' and private institutions must submit lists of persons not liable for military service to military enlistment offices. The next mass mobilization wave is planned for late February. At the same time, from February 1, all repair and construction work at budget-sustained enterprises and institutions will be stopped, and all planned funds will be redirected to support armed aggression against Ukraine.

'In the past day, the aircraft of the Defense Forces launched 14 strikes on enemy concentration areas and two strikes on the positions of their anti-aircraft missile systems. In addition, two enemy Su-25 aircraft, a Ka-52 helicopter, four Orlan-10 UAVs and a Supercam UAV were destroyed. Rocket and artillery units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit a command post, 12 manpower concentration areas and four ammunition depots of the Russian occupiers in the last day,' the General Staff concluded.
