Najjar Meets Egypt Culture Minister On Cairo Book Fair Sidelines

AMMAN - Culture Minister Haifa Najjar on Wednesday met with her Egyptian counterpart Neveen Kilany, in the presence of Jordanian Ambassador to Cairo Amjad Adaileh, as part of the 54th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

A number of Jordanian writers and intellectuals, as well as 85 Jordanian publishing houses and official and civil institutions will participate in the event. During the meeting, Najjar invited Egypt to be the guest of honour at the Jerash Festival in its next edition, stressing the importance of bolstering cultural relations.

Kilany stressed the importance of increasing cultural cooperation, lauding the distinctive design of the Jordanian pavilion at the fair, which highlighted Jordan's cultural identity and heritage. The two sides also focused on increasing cultural exchange in the future.
