Classified reports found at Pence’s home

(MENAFN) Documents with classified designs were found in previous Vice President Mike Pence ‘s Indiana residence last week, according to his lawyer, the latest in a series of recoveries of papers meant to be kept with highest sensitivity from the homes of recent and previous top US officials.

“A small number of documents,” taken into FBI jail last Thursday, “were inadvertently boxed and transported” to the previous vice president’s home at the end of the last government, Pence’s lawyer, Greg Jacob, said in a message to the National Archives shared with The Associated Press.

He added that Pence had been “unaware of the existence of sensitive or classified documents at his personal residence” until a search past week and that he “understands the high importance of protecting sensitive and classified information” and stands set to deal with “any appropriate inquiry.”
