New CEO of Twitter starts conflict against Apple

(MENAFN) The new CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, has blamed Apple of “hating free speech in America” and taking many aggressive decisions against Twitter. The billionaire started the attack against the firm in a Twitter thread on Monday.

“Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter,” Musk said, writing in an another post that the firm “has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why.”

He as well condemned Apple for actively banning freedom of expression, launching a poll on if the firm “should publish all censorship actions it has taken that affect its customers.”

Within just two hours, almost a million Twitter users took part in it, with over 85 percent voting for the decision.

Ramping up his attack on the tech giant, Musk also shared regarding “a secret 30 percent tax on everything you buy through their App Store.” In fact, the 30 percent commission earnt by Apple has long been widely condemned and even caused a big court fight against Epic Games, which the business eventually lost.
