FM Meets Czech Counterpart

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met yesterday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavsky, who is currently visiting the country. They reviewed bilateral co-operation relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, and discussed the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and its repercussions on the world and energy markets, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest. The Czech FM praised the results of the visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the Czech Republic earlier this month. He reiterated the desire to strengthen relations with Qatar in various fields, especially economic, investment and trade. Lipavsky affirmed that the Czech Republic is looking forward to the opening of the embassy of Qatar in Prague, after his country opened the headquarters of its mission in Doha. (QNA)
